For our few community events we have a baton twirler in our color guard who I am going to allow to do a baton routine in our parade block. My quick question is where do I put her? Behind the banner? Behind the guard? Behind the DM? Behind the band? Any help would be great.
These are not competitive events but I do want our group to be presentable.
Thanks!

Re: Adding a Baton Twirler to our parade block
For parade competitions, I have my school's twirler integrated into the banner & flag routine in the beginning and for the judges salute. After the salute, the twirler is positioned in front of the banner line. In our non judged community parades, our twirler is in front of the banner.
Re: Adding a Baton Twirler to our parade block
Adding a baton twirler will enhance your program. If you are adding a solo twirler or feature, you should place her up front especially if she is capable of entertaining the crowd. Why is there such a reluctancy by band directors to have a twirler, or a majorette line? Good for you in taking this step. If this twirler is who I think it is, she will do well for you. I am not from CA but know a champion twirler from your town. Good Luck!
