I haven't pulled up the stats sheet, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Queen led ALL boards wire-to-wire, she was never out of 1st place.Marianne wrote: Congrats to fielshowqueen for winning the Regular Season Average!

Keep your eyes on that weather forecast when making your picks, folks.9:07AM CST -- So... it's -14ºF right now and the windchill is -28ºF. I really hope this holds out for the playoff game next weekend.

Thanks! Again it's been a pleasure and I love the friendly competition.Hostrauser wrote:I haven't pulled up the stats sheet, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Queen led ALL boards wire-to-wire, she was never out of 1st place.
A HUGE thank you to Marianne for her work on this ... especially this year. Hugs.
And yes, I led all boards all season in first place. I was shocked!
... now to whip your rears in Post Season (which won't happen because I just said something) LOL!

Re: Game Open: Wild Card Weekend
Saturday, January 4
1. Indianapolis Colts
Bottom line: Chiefs rode easy schedule to 9-0 start (combined records of those nine opponents: 52-92, only one finished with a winning record). Chiefs faced five playoff teams in second half of season, went 0-5. Colts blasted Chiefs 23-7 (in Kansas City) just before Christmas.
2. Philadelphia Eagles
Bottom line: Eagles first half of season 3-5, second half 7-1. Still think of them as all offense? Eagles defense has held 11 of past 12 opponents under 23 points. Average margin of victory in last four home games (all wins): 17 points. The Saints? 1-5 on the road their last six road games. Only win? Under the roof at 4-12 Atlanta. Have not won a game outdoors (not in a dome) since Week 5 (October 6th).
Sunday, January 5
3. Cincinnati Bengals
Bottom Line: The Chargers lost games by 3, 3, 10, 6, 8, 4, and 7. Five of those losses were games they could have/should have won. It seems absurd to say the Chargers could have been 14-2, but... the Chargers could have been 14-2. They aren't, though. They're 9-7. They're 9-7 because they're a hopelessly inconsistent, Jekyll & Hyde team. That's deadly in the playoffs. Oh yeah, and that Cincy defense is really, really good. Top 5 against both the run AND the pass (the only team in the playoffs, AFC or NFC, that can make that claim).
4. Green Bay Packers
Bottom Line: Green Bay forecast for Sunday, -5º to -10ºF air temperature, wind chill expected to be -30º to -35ºF. In cold weather, passing is very difficult. So if you're a defender you stack the box and force the other team to throw. I have a bit more faith in a banged-up Aaron Rodgers than I do a healthy Colin Kaepernick. In the playoffs, you try to find the one thing your opponent doesn't do well... then force them to do it. The Niners finished the year with a Top 10 rushing offense, passing defense, and rushing defense, but a 30th ranked passing offense. It comes back to bite them here.
