Car Mods......radar detectors.
Anyone have radar detectors on their cars? I'd like to pick one up for my new car. Since I got it I've been driving on average at 80 to and from Irvine and San Diego. Haven't gotten ticketed yet. Here's what I got so far.
Also I've heard of people wiring it in a way that it's not visible to the outside yet it still detects.

personally, you're better off just looking out for cops rather than spending 100-400 bucks for a radar detector.
i'm guessin the CHP is pretty smart and is using lasers rather than radar now. if you're getting tagged by a laser, then you're basically screwed if u have a radar detector.
but if u want, i heard the valentine 1 detector is pretty good

When I had to take Astronomy while I was at the JC, the instructor gave us a huge old lecture about why it was stupid to get the radar detectors. (he was more into physics and things than astronomy) Anyway, he said that they're basically useless because by the time the cop zaps you, it's too late for the radar detector to detect the radar. I don't know if it's true or not, but I do know that I'd rather look for the cops than spending the cash on a radar detector.

Well since you have Premium Floor Mats the radar detector is a good idea.
I never did forget that night...
And now...
More than twenty years later...
I still remember every note of the music that wandered out into the still night air.
The only thing is...
I can't remember how to play it anymore.

That pic is a satire. I wouldn't post it seriously.nizmo wrote:lmaoSpin Doctor wrote:Well since you have Premium Floor Mats the radar detector is a good idea.
i don't want to hate but half those things on your list aren't really "mods"
if it came with the car, you didn't modify it
