drum-a-thon?

I've been looking around different sites for fundraisers for my school's drumline and I've seen a lot of talk about drum-a-thons. Does anybody know what these are? Or have any other good fundraisers. Our school's music program has almost no funding so we really need as many fundraisers as possible. Thanks!

Drum-a-thon = Have your drumline go ask neigbors, friends, family, business, etc. for donations to play for like 8 hrs. for one day. (It's win, win because you get extra practice in, and you get paid for it.) Also try a March-a-thon (same thing, but with the whole band)

Ok... So its like they sponsor us based on how long we keep playing? Alrighty. Sounds fun! ....and our school sucks because we dont have a marching band

Doing a Drum-A-Thon is very good and the drumlien would get some practice time in and also get paid for doing it. If still interested, I know of some cool fundraisers that your school drumline can do. Just let me know...
