Wow, that'll give me something to do for a while... alright, I'll post it here in a couple of hours or so... stop reading this thread, it'll be chock-full of spoilers.

LOGAN Walkthrough

Post by Hostrauser » Fri Jan 03, 2003 8:55 pm

SCENE 1: Bedroom
Reach under the pillow and grab the key.
Open the left locker.
Reach inside box and grab the screwdriver.
Use the screwdriver to get the screw holding the painting up.
Grab the poster and slide it under the door.
Use the screw on the keyhole to knock the key onto the poster.
Grab the poster, grab the key, unlock the door and leave.

SCENE 2: Computer Room
Grab the diskette box on top of the bookcase.
Go into the room on the left.
Grab the lower right pin from the Commodore flag.
Use the pin to open the diskette box.
Zoom in on the computer.
Insert floppy into disk drive.
Turn on computer. There's your code.
Go back to previous room. Enter code on keypad and leave.

SCENE 3: Rat Maze
Go into the right door, into the maze room.
Turn off the lights. There are three illuminated tiles on the wall. Get them.
Rearrange the floor tiles so the "mouse" (head) goes through the rat hole next to the door. (Many ways to do this.)
Go through the door into the walkbridge room.
Use the diskette box to capture the mouse head.
Notice how the lower right post on the walk bridge is actually labelled "Bridge part"? Pull that lever.
Insert the first tile into the left slot, then click on it twice to adjust the tile so the lines on the tile match up with the dashes in the dividers.
Insert the second tile into the middle slot, click once to adjust.
Insert the third tile into the right slot, click twice to adjust.
Use the rat "head" on this maze to unlock the upper door.
The chair will move now. Move the chair over.
Reach up and click on "bridge part" (lower left post, now) to lower the bridge and leave.

SCENE 4: Living Room
This scene has three rooms. You start in the sitting room. To your left is the living room. To your right is the room with the laser. The laser currently doesn't have enough power to operate completely because the heater is on really high.
Go into the living room.
Grab the triangular piece from the security panel.
Grab a log from the fireplace.
Go right two rooms into the laser room.
Place the log on the laser platform, directly under the red crystal.
Trigger a short burst (just press green button) to set the log on fire.
Take the burning log and put it back in the fireplace. This will heat up the room and shut off the heater, giving the laser enough power to do the next step.
Go back to the laser room and place the security triangle on the platform.
Trigger the laser by hitting the green button.
Grab the triangle pieces and go back to the living room.
Open the security panel and arrange the four pieces into the opening until they form a whole triangle.
This unlocks the door for you to leave.

SCENE 5: The Alien Keypad
You start in a room with a funky clock and a poster.
Move the upside down box.
Move the cabinet.
Go into the next room.
All this room has is a funky poster, a bookcase you can't do anything with, and a keypad.
*** This keypad is the single hardest puzzle in the game ***
*** It has a TWENTY-SEVEN DIGIT COMBINATION ***

Okay, each puzzle has 12 possible answers. 3 rows, 4 columns. Start at the top and count left to right with me: the top row is 1-4, the middle row is 5-8, and the bottom row is 9-12. With that in mind, the combination is:
6 - 7 - 11 - 4 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 (this guy should be a purple letter "P")
12 - 11 - 6 - 10 - 1 - 7 - 6 - 6 (this guy should be the "dice" puzzle)
9 - 7 - 4 - 5 - 11 - 12 - 1 - 11 - 6 - 2 (the last puzzle is the "binary" puzzle)
And it doesn't unlock the door. ;-)
Go back to the previous room.
Move the cabinet, then the box.
Open the control panel and get the key.
Move the box, then the cabinet.
Go through the door.
Unlock the door with the key and leave.

SCENE 6: Bathroom Plus
This scene has four rooms.
You start in Room #1 with the motorcycle.
Move the welcome mat. Grab the key. Unlock the door and leave.
Just kidding. As you reach for the key it falls through the metal grating.
Go into room #2 on your right, the bathroom.
Open the cabinet and grab the screwdriver.
Go back to the motorcycle. Use the screwdriver to pop off one of the headlights.
Go back to the bathroom. Open the curtains to reveal the flashlight.
Grab the batteries from the radio.
Put the batteries and the light into the flashlight and grab the now working flashlight.
Move the floor mat to reveal a tile puzzle.
The tile puzzle is pretty easy: upper left, lower left, lower right.
Grab the fire hose.
Grab the flashlight. With flashlight in hand, climb into the trap door the tiles revealed.
Click on the room to turn on the flashlight. This is the third room, but there's nothing worthwhile here. Go left into room #4.
The key is on the floor by the locker.
Grab the key, go back up to the motorcycle room, unlock the door and leave.

SCENE 7: The Colored Wheels
This scene has numerous rooms. You start in Room #1, with the lift operated by a blue wheel.
Go left into room #2, the office.
Turn on the lamp. Read the letter on the table to find out about your background. ;-)
Memorize (or write down) the color dialogue.
Grab the blue wheel off the wall.
Go back into room #1.
There are three pipes with connecting pieces you can add the wheel to. The blue wheel goes on the left pipe.
Go up the lift to room #3, then go right into room #4.
Open the cabinet drawer and grab the green wheel.
Go back (left and down) to room #1.
The green wheel goes on the right pipe.
Go up and then right and then down to room #5, then go right to room #6, the mail room.
Go up to room #7. Here's a surprise! Look at the window. ;-)
Open the right desk drawer and grab the fountain pen.
Go down (right side) to room #8.
Grab the sheet of paper off the table.
Go ALL the way back to room #2, the office.
Place the trace paper over the letter on the table.
Use the pen to forge Max's signature on your request for a red wheel.
Go back to room #6, the mail room.
Drop your order in the "out box"
Wait about 15-30 seconds. Check the inbox and grab your red wheel.
Go back to room #1. The red wheel goes on the middle pipe.
Go all the way back to room #8 with the red door.
Go right into room #9, then up into room #10.
Grab the disk off the top of the locker and go right into room #11.
Insert the disk in the disk drive.
Here you have to match the color of the transporter using the colored wheels. This is where the color dialogue comes in handy. (Yellow = Red and Green; Cyan = Blue and Green; Purple = Red and Blue)
Access the transporter panel. Touch a button to teleport away.

SCENE 8: The Chess Game
Room #1 - Grab the screwdriver off the table. Access the control panel. The code is pretty easy: match the number at the top but selecting the code buttons that will add up to that number (ie, for "20", the first code, select "16" and "4"). Do this until the "pie" goes from all red to all green. Go right into room #2 with the force field.
Room #2 - Open the box on the floor for a laugh. Go right into room #3.
Room #3 - Read the notes for a laugh. Adjust the picture frame to make the wall open up. Use the screwdriver on the wall grate. Go right into room #4, the chess room.
Room #4 - Grab the clock weights. Go back to room #1.
Room #1 - Click on your now green panel. The wall moves back revealing a secret door. Go through that to room #5.
Room #5 - Pull the string down from the force-field generator and attach the clock weights to it. Grab the chess piece tile. Go back to the chess room (#4).
Room #4 - Place the chess piece tile on the pedestal. Now you're ready to play chess. The knight piece you have can only move in a 2-by-1 "L" shape, such as two down, one left. Remember this. You have to move the tile around so that it stops on each of the glowing tiles. There are many, many different solutions, and some tiles require multiple moves. You'll have to trigger about 12-15 tiles. Eventually, the chess piece will go under the archway and stop moving. You're done. Go back to room #2.
Room #2 - The force-field is now disabled. Go through the force-field door to room #6, the airlock.
Room #6 - Open locker #1 and grab the space suit. (So *that's* what alien's look like.) Once you're wearing the space suit, go into the airlock.

You're done! Talk to the robot for amusement, or try to figure out how to sign the guestbook. I'm not going to tell you. ;-) (It's not that hard.)

How do you get the rat out of the box? And I can't use the head to unlock the maze. ARG

Just grab the whole diskette box and click it on the maze. The rat "head" will be released automatically.
