Do you think it's strange that there's a way of how you look and how you act and how you think? Pretend they're not the same as you.

What exactly is Idyllwild? I've heard of it from friends and my teacher, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.

Idllywild is a very expensive music academy up in the hills of southern california, they have a really good summer camp, unfortunately I can not afford it and its to late for me to apply for the scholarships, and I dont even know if those apply towards the summer school.

I only got in because the symphonic band was short trombone players, so I got a rather sizable scholarship:)

I was the principle bass trombonist of the symphonic band of Idyllwild this past summer. I payed an emmense amount of money to go but I got a $500 scholarship. We were the first band to perform at Disney Hall. It's an amazing camp. I live in Oroville, CA and Idyllwild is 14-15 hrs south of here. It was a long trip, but it's well worth it.

Idyllwild is a music camp( also has art, dance, orchestra, jewelry, choir, writing, and young children's programs) in the summer, 2weeks, and is an actual school in the winter. It's hightly acclaimed and is very much like Tanglewood, and Aspen. Idyllwild has MANY international students. Almost half of the students were from places like: Poland, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, China, Japan, C. Rep, Israel, Brazil... and many other places. That's what makes the camp so great, the diversity in race, and styles of playing. I wish I could afford to go to the school year- round.

I'm scared that if I apply, I'll get rejected  I'd really like to go next year *9th grade* but my grades suck and so does my bank account. Maybe I'll save now and in 9th grade & 10th grade/raise my grades and apply again for 11th grade? But eh, some of my dreams will never come true.
