Nor Cal Circuits

Post by Miss A » Thu Jul 01, 2004 10:02 pm

Don't forget CCGC! It is a WGI affiliated circuit that covers Northern California from Gilroy up to Roseville. We even had some guest appearances from Sac State and Freelancers this year. My middle school performed in Concert Open this year and we were only one of two Jr. Hi/ Middle School groups at the Hayward regional. CCGC has been great and I hope we get more schools who will try this circuit. It is more expensive than NCBA, but the feedback I received has been worth every penny. :viking: [/quote]

I'm from Fairfield High, this year we were in 3 circuits: NCBA, CCGC, and WGI. I think we had about 10 straight shows this season. I wish more schools would do CCGC because we're the only school in Open.

Northern California Bands Association?

Is there any distance limits to how far can a Marching Band compete through that assocation?

Just about anyone can come into NCBA. A few years ago we had a band come up from So Cal. And we have a few bands that come over from Nevada to compete with us. But, sad to say, NCBA is really going to down the drain. It's slowly losing reviews espcially in marching spring. We only have like 3 reviews now, where it use to be 10, and this has all happened in like 3 or 4 years. And its starting to be centered around a certain person, and I think anyone that knows NCBA will know who I'm talking about.

Hi! Everyone

I would like to annouce that I will be teaching at Fontana High School as a Pit Instructor. We will be competing in the ADLA circuit. But are in the thinking process of also doing competitions in SCPA and maybe even WGI this coming 2005 Winter Seasons.

Are there any groups out there that do not do Indoor Percussion. My group does not. We do Concert Percussion. Its a lot of fun, battery members get to play with mallets and Pit gets to play with concert snares.....

Even though NCBA isnt with the WGI circuit we are the most competitive circuit in northern california.....dont get me wrong i would love to be in WGI but im saying if NCBA was apart of WGI, WGI would have a lot more lines in sholastic A and some like Foothill and Vallejo would be able to take Fairfield on in scholastic open....also some lines left the NCBA circuit.....like Hogan High...theyre only in the CCGC circuit and WGI circuit...by the way great show this year.
