totally fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
man etiwanda, that percussion day was awesome. everything was pretty much cool, but dave dicenso and jeff queen were UNBELIEVABLE. i can honestly die now after seeing what those 2 amazing drummers did. hope that i can come back next year!
Thanks,
What a great day!
We had about 100-130 kids attend.
The clinicians did a great job. It was a very well rounded program.
Chris Romanowski started the day with a wonderful battery percussion clinic.
Becky Dawson gave an intimate clinic on how to wrap your own keyboard mallets.
Jason Goodman with the Chino percussion ensemble played an amazing set of legitimate concert percussion music.
Dave DiCenso burning up the drum set. These West Coast kids were floored by this East Coast Master. With Speed and Power that rivaled anything that LA could have offered.
The Etiwanda Steel Drum Band played during lunch
With a guest performance by the Etiwanda Senior Percussion Ensemble.
Steve Schmidt with the RCC concert percussion ensemble gave a great clinic on concert mallet technique.
Brad Colton and Ian Grom taught how a drum set and a hand drummer can complement each other with out getting in each others way
Jeff Queen gave an amazing marching snare clinic to finish up the day.
We at Etiwanda wanted to thank all the musicians who performed, as well as all students/staff who attended.
We sincerely hope you learned something and will attend again next year.
Thank you,
