well if you actually listened to the announcements, their show was Pee Wee's big Adventure or something like that. if you've ever seen the movie you would understand. but I agree, it was kinda sdhort and the battery could have played more.

Well their pit was really into it too if you saw them at championships last night no offense but I'm pretty sure that's where their scores came from ( the dynamics were so good!)

hey i'm from the La Quinta

Ya, maybe our battery music wasn't as much as normal, but oh well. We think we did awesome. Normally the audiences love our show, but for some reason, they didn't last night. For it being our first season and a new coach to get used to, I think 2nd place is incredible, and i think we earned it.

just my 2 cents from someone from LQ

Post by JohnnyffX » Sun May 09, 2004 9:21 pm

ABout two weeks ago i went to a drumline comp at San Marcos High. When i saw their show i was so shocked it was awesome...visually, musically, everything was just worth watching. All in all there show was very good. Today when i went to ADLA championships for Sunday I heard San Marcos was performing again....yet it was at night....regardless i know they still probably had a great show....So COngrats San Marcos.

I liked em all actually, none of them really bored me. But the one that was the most fun was ours cuz it's Nintendo songs and we had fun practicing it and thinkin of visuals that related to it.

Did anyone see the Junior division championships? Our middle school did the Beethoven show. We had a lot of fun with it. We came in 3rd with only .1 below 2nd and .4 below 1st. Any suggestions for improvement for next year?

my drum instructor said the same 3 that always win were favor to win this yr too. You guys were awesome though no kidding. When we were loading our truck though and u guys came thru one of your pit ppl i think some girl with red hair and a blue hat said Oh u guys r the poor school we're the disco school and like that pissed our drumline off but we didnt say anything.
You guys did excellant, though :D.

I was pissed cus one of our basses freaked out and was late n out of step.

Ok sry for being off topic, my fave show was probably champs cus that was when we saw the most shows and stuff. I wish I could've seen townsend they sound really neat they were probably my favorites to win

I haven't been able to see other world line shows except from the back of the gym (as I wait for a group to finish to I can unfold the tarp for my group). I saw Saddleback's show for the first time yesterday, and from what I saw from the back, their show is pretty cool. Cool visuals and rather clean. Congrats to Saddleback on a great championships show last night.

At the Villa Park show, I saw a couple of the early morning groups to go (I don't know how you guys manage to play that early in the morning, I'm still waking up :p). I like Townsends show a lot. There's one other I like too, but I forget the name of the school.

I hope I can buy the DVD for Championships and watch all the other world line divisions.

lol that happens a lot.

there's a La Quinta from La Quinta California, then there's a La Quinta from Westminster. Pee Wee Herman is the LQ from westminster.... it gets confusing lol
