ADLA CHAMPS... on Mothers Day?!?!

Post by MinCook » Sat Apr 24, 2004 10:02 pm

Hey who here is going to ADLA champs (the sunday show)... ON MOTHERS DAY!!! Well it might not sound like a BIG problem... but it turned out to be.... Our line is competeing on a sunday because of our divison (scholastic open) and there was a lot of conflicts arising becuase some kids' parents wouldn't let them go on mothers day due to the fact that their families had other plans at church or whatever. In our drumline theres lotta church-goers and theres always something special planned on mothers day. I don't know if its just my school but does any other schools have this problem? :hum:
There is nothing more scary than a kid with an internet connection.

yeah im really confused as to why they would put champs on Mother's Day. I have a lot of friends who really want to come to see us and the other lines compete, but when i tell them its on mother's day they say the probably CANNOT come. i hope lots of people still come despite the fact that its mothers day. champs in two weeks!!!! yeeah

8-) It's not the best day, for sure....but I'm a mom and will be a driver for that. In some respects I'm kind of glad for it, because I usually spend Mother's Day doing for other mothers, and so this time I get to do what I am wanting to do....you guys are really a lot of fun to watch and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone put their best foot forward.

Good luck!

I drive for Rio Mesa HS in Oxnard. :) The only thing I wish is that the scheduled comp time was later in the day because it's going to be a VERY EARLY call time...but oh well!

Good luck in the Scholastic A venue. I have a line in open, thats Westminster and a line in World thats Hawthorne. I will have my hands full that day, good luck to you and your school.

Thanks a lot, those kids have been working really hard all year long. They deserve everything they get this year. Im sure at champs they will perform an even better show. They had a really good show at A.B. Miller, and i know they want to out perform themselves at champs, good luck to your group too. See you at Champs.............

I would go and support my drumline friends but I have no mode of transportation and making my mommy drive me to LA doesn't sound too happy. :? Which sucks because I've never seen their show
