Cymbal Gloves
Hey, right now we are using the regular cotton gloves and they getting really nasty turning dark with the dirt and the fingers on my gloves are worn through so we look like a hobo cymbal line. We do have an almost endless supply on cotton gloves in stock but i was wondering if there are some better types of gloves for marching Cymbals.
P.S. Anyone know what SCV or Crossmen use for their cymbal players.

Just use the regular White cotton ones. Thats what we used when I marched in the cymline for SCVC. We used a new pair each show.

ok... here is the deal, you go out and you buy wieght lifting gloves. $10-$20!
Harbinger are really good.. we use those at pacific crest. practice wearing those and then when you have a show, put on the cotton gloves over the other ones and tape your wrist. and BAM! you got happy hands... plus you may want to just use the wieght lifting gloves during the show... they look good enough!
go to Big5 or chicks or sports chalet

for? or for not wearing gloves.Quintkid wrote:... and you wont get marked down by the judges.
all the cym lines i've seen usually wear white cotton, as mentioned earlier. SCV, SCVC, Madison, Crossmen, Glassmen.
of course the downer to this...is that you basically have to use a new pair for every show unless of course you wear black gloves.

When I marched the rose parade with PCC our section leader, who happens to march with Pacific Crests cymbal line, had us get the harbringer lether gloves...worked really well, hands didnt have the big blisters by the end of the parade.... You can wear the white gloves over them and it still works great!!!
