Music/Marching Instructors

Post by TSLee618 » Sun Dec 08, 2002 8:59 pm

I'm not going to mention my former and my current instructor's names.
I had music instructors in the past, where I respected them as an music instructor, but not as a person. Did any of you guys have any instructors where you respected them as an instructor, but not as a person.

I always believed in this statement. You don't need to like your instructor, but you must respect him/her as an music/marching instructor.

My current instructor, I respect him as a person and as an instructor.

I agree that RESPECT is a key element when it comes to instructors but I believe that if they don't return the respect, it's not really worth it. If it was your fault for them not respecting you, then thats different...

I feel that way towards one of my instructors that I had for 2 years. I respected him as an instructor and a person until he did somethign extremely stupid to me and really pissed me off. And the sad thing is I don't think he even remembers. But since then I have all respect towards him as a person. There aren't really any other instructors I don't respect.
