Power Regional Fresno!!!!!

Post by Wendy Uzarski » Wed Feb 18, 2004 11:04 pm

Ok, Who has got predictions for SO? I'm excited because Rancho Cucamonga will be there. I would love to see how they are against Vanencia. Too bad Valencia won't be there. What do you think? All I know for sure is that I can't wait!!! :P

SO prediction

Post by GuarDiva04 » Fri Feb 20, 2004 8:34 am

It's going to be fierce in Scholastic Open at Fresno! Crazy fierce! I think all groups are expected to do well but exceptional ones would include tops from last year... Rancho Cucamonga... many others also though. Competition just keeps raising its bar year after year... 2004 will be the greatest!!! Not that I'm graduating or anything....

SO guards in performance order

Post by RifleLova » Fri Feb 20, 2004 5:11 pm

SO Guards to be at Fresno in the order they are performing:

Clovis East HS
Fairfield HS
Buchanan HS
James Logan HS
Rancho Cucamonga HS
Upland HS Varsity
Clovis HS
Moreau Catholic HS
Diamond bar HS- Open
Oak Grove HS Open
Chino HS Open
Bonita Vista HS
Mission Viejo HS

I have no predictions...they always turn out wrong...
Pearl Madison: I'm only human.
Leland: How come people only say that when they've done something wrong?

I don't really know how Rancho Cucamonga's been doing, but I think it will be between logan, fairfield and oak grove...I wish Valencia would be there so we could have more competition though...

Scholastic Open looks fierce for this show, looking forward to it. Independent World will be intersting to see if Raiders can pull ahead of Fantasia or if Fantasia will fulfill their 1st place / 3rd place pattern they've been doing for the last four years.

As for SO here's my $.02

Top 5 -
James Logan
Mission Viejo
Oak Grove
Rancho Cucamonga
Upland

Next 4-
Clovis
Diamond Bar
Fairfield
Moreau Catholic

The 4 after that-
Bonita Vista
Buchanan
Chino
Clovis East

oh my god. im so excited for the power regional. this is a super exciting show. i think our shots for san diego are slim, but it i think its cool they have these cool shows for other IA groups to perfom in a big stadium. plus the attention these shows are getting are great.

the nerves are going to get the best of us, but i know we'll all do it up.. right? My favorites im routing for are fantasia, james logan, orion, mission viejo. go west coast!

It's so hard to correctly predict placements but... judging from SCORES from everyones last regional/show my top five in SO would be:

1. Mission Viejo
2.Oak Grove
3.Logan/Fairfield ( they are .1 away from each other right now)
4. Rancho
5. DIamond Bar

You ahve to give people leway to mess up. Scores can fluctuate week to week. So can guard performance wise. My only wonder is Logan and Fairfield because we are KNOWN to crack under pressure and Logan is known to be solid but lack in performance. They're such a great colorguard though! I'm looking forward to tomorrow and seriously... good luck everyone! Nothing is impossible with the Love of God and when you put your mind to it!

oh my gosh, i'm pretty scared for tomorrow...oh man i am...the arena is bigger than dayton's, and i mean i've only performed in that big finals arena once, but my goodness...that was a lot of people...i'm nervous already  i hope to do okay though...GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!
You can always do it...so just shut up and do it.
