Winter Drumline Shows!!

Post by drummerfromtroy » Sat Feb 21, 2004 2:58 pm

I was just wondering how everyone's shows are coming along! How much of your show (music/visual/etc...) have you finished or do you have it all completely done already as of now?

Good luck to everyone as the competitions begin this month!!!

i go to serrano (and i went to murrieta too for about a year)and their almost neck to neck with the kids at murrieta now b/c while i was gone they got really good, but then, get this. our instuctor gets fired b/c of something he immaturely said about 2 of our bass chics (but hey what can you expect, he's only 19) so then we try to pull together an independent line right. and then everybodys all worried about money & stuff so we get sposnsors to donate money & supplies for our props up the ying yang.so every things looking good we have everything we need, all we need to do is send in the order forms for our drums & pit stuff right, so we plan a meeting and no body shows up b/c now it's too late in the season to really do much.
BUT here's the REAL kicker, WE ALREADY HAD 3/4S OF THE SHOW COMPLETELY DONE BY FEB. AND THEN HE GOT FIRED. SO WE WORKED OUR A$$ES OFF FOR PRACTICALLY NOTHING.OUR SHOW WAS SO MUCH FUN TOO.

we're doing a storyline show- it's based on the song "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" by Billy Joel (i remember how we laughed when we heard that) and basically it's about two ex-loves who meet in an italian restaurant and there's a flashback to when they were together and then back to the present where they're all "oh, cool to see you again, etc. etc" It's fun and we've got some cool and corny visuals in there. We're almost done with the show- our instructor wants the whole show finished by the Las Vegas comp...ahhhhhh!!!! Ya...it's going ok....
