It's finals time again..... :(

Post by DJ-PsiLon » Fri Dec 06, 2002 10:25 am

Good luck to any of you guys with finals coming up. Next week is finals time for me so there goes any hope of having a weekend.

Originally I was scheduled to have 3 finals on one day but I was able to reschedule one of them with my professor.

Sheesh...sounds crowded for you. I took care of two of mine, and have three left. December 17th will be a day of reckoning.

You mean finals as in schoolwork, right?
If you guys have them coming up very soon, then I am very lucky. My finals aren't until towards the end of January.
Lucky me but they are gonna be HARD!!!

Finals as in two hour tests. I have four of them.

Tuesday I have an in class essay from 8-10.
Thursday I have an econ test from 8-10, then Computer Science from 4-6.
Friday I have Anthropology from 1030-1230.

Tonight is another all nighter since I've got the last programming project due. It's easier cuz it's program runtime analyzation rather than programming. Lots of testing of algorithms.

That's why it's so nice to be an art major! We don't have finals as in exams. We have to turn in a final project, but once it's completed and turned in, it's done. I would say that we send the same amount of time completing the project as other majors would spend studying for an exam, but there isn't the pressure of remembering all the info for a huge exam. We also usually turn in our final project the week before finals because finals week is a portfolio review. The teacher meets with each student to discuss the projects they did that semester. Pretty cool if you ask me. I LOVE BEING AN ART MAJOR!

Good luck to everyone as they complete their final exams. You're almost done!

UCs are on a quarter system. 10 weeks + 1 finals week. We started late around Sept. 27th but that made our winter break only 3 weeks. Last year it was 4.

USC is on semesters. Berkeley is too. We go 15 weeks each semester followed by a couple study days and then finals week.

And december 17 is still a day of reckoning.

Finals, what are those? My first final is the 12th & the last one is the 20th, and I'm not even tripping off of that. I don't study, which should be horrible ... but I always manage to get my A. In fact, my pysc prof told us NOT to study. At first I thought finals in highschool were easier and less pressure, but I was wrong.
But still ... goodluck to all who must face 'hell week'

1 Math test
1 Spanish test
2 chapter summarries for History
and the kicker?
1 TERM PAPER due on Friday

what does that equal?

i ono... a lot of times (and i mean that to mean outside of finals week), college classes seem a lot like high school, part 2. Maybe it's just me being jaded or something.
