Ncba Fall Championships?

Post by JCYS » Tue Feb 10, 2004 1:25 pm

Do to suggestions by our membership, NCBA has opened discussions on having a fall championship-street, field, possibly concert & jazz too.

Preliminary discussions involve having this championship on the 3rd weekend of November (currently the date for the Stockton and Fairfield reviews).

These discussions are in the preliminary stages, and the talk revolves around the current reviews being designated as an "official" championship.

It is important to the NCBA to maintain the current fine events being run in Stockton and Fairfield.

One idea would have a small school championship at one site (say, divisions E, D, and C...including possible Jr HS) and the other site hosting large school championship (Divisions B, A, AA) with the event then rotating sites the following year. That is just one idea. There have been several other ideas floated, and again, discussions have only started on this topic, at an informal level. The topic will be brought to the NCBA board in April and to the general membership in June for additional discussion.

NCBA members input is, as always, welcome!
