Jazz Mouthpieces - Recommendations, please?
What bari sax jazz mouthpieces would you recommend? I'm new at this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I myself prefer to use a Meyer 8. It's a really nice high quality hard rubber mouthpiece. You gan get a great, rauncy, obnoxious bari sound on it. I sware by it. It usually runs $120.
BTW, stay away from metal on bari. Trust me.

Obviously, the 'J' is for Jesbo.
And the 'B', well...that's for Burnination

Mouthpieces!!!
Hey there!!
I've been playing bari for 4 years now and I've found that you need to buy a beginner mouthpiece for about the first year or so, it makes things easier to get used to the instrument. I use a Berg Larsen 110/2, it gives a great bass sound while still having clarity and quality. i've never tried a meyer mouthpiece for bari, but its a good alto mouthpiece. everyone seems to think its good so I hope my info makes you happy
