Thats guard for you. you try to learn something new, then get beat up by your equipment. just deal with it. you dont hear anyone complaining about it!

o yeah we are!

injuries are cool, just as long as they don't keep you from spinning.

but you know you've got a real dedicated guard when you all sit around comparing bruises for entertainment

ya counting and comparing bruises is a definite pass time! it's one of the ways to tell if you've been on guard too long!

haha. bruises are not cool. my freshman year, alot of us went to this guard camp, and we all got to learn rifle. the instructor who was teaching it wrote this rifle parallel, and we hadn't even learned flag parallels yet. so i tried to toss it, and it whacked me right on the side of my forehead. Well the next day was picture day for school, and i had this huge black and blue egg on the side of my head for pictures. woo...that was bad.

Bruises...Booo!

Post by cggirl353 » Tue Jan 20, 2004 7:59 am

Looking at OTHER people's bruises is cool. They are not cool when they are on you! I have one on my left leg right now that is the size of a softball! I have no idea how it got there! That's the worst part. But probably the worst ones are bruises on your fingers from sabre. I never have really experienced it with rifle or flag but sabre really gives you ugly bruises. The funny thing is that when you get these bruises on your fingers you get them from just catching. It's not like you messed up or caught it wrong. It hurts every single time you catch a toss. Bottom line, bruises suck! They hurt and take forever to go away!

well i showed my dad (he was a doctor type person at 1 point 4 the navy, so he knows whats up) and apperently i have a sprained ligiment in my right wrist. i can still spin, but he said i have to wrap it when i do. so that suck. but at least i can spin. :)

Bruises fun!!! Yeah last year I hurt my shoulder during dance, I never really found out what happened to it but I'm ok now! I've gotten lots of minor injuries but nothing too bad.
