BD has by far the most notes...maybe not this year, but overall, BD's book is harder than most corps. In my opinion, being a drummer is more about challenging yourself than playing clean and winning. of course, I wouldn't wanna hear a line thats way dirty because their book is way over their heads. My vote goes to BD...they seem to have the best of both worlds. those 3 bros on bass too....wow.

Iono, if I were a judge, I would consider difficulty, of course, but the first thing I'm going to hear is cleanliness. If it's dirty, I'm not going to appreciate the difficulty of their repertoire as much as I could if it were clean, since cleanliness not only displays a lines unity as a team, but their fluency/familiarity with the music.

The thing that I see in the Drum Corps/ Drumline world is that the players are good...reeeeeeeeally good. And for the most part they all have amazing skill. On that plane, most players are equal. But what makes one line better than the other is not the individual but the line as a whole...the unified sound.

But I do agree that winning isn't what it's all about. It's all about the challenge, baby!

P.S. Phantom...oh man. Hott stuff. The show seriously gave me chills.
