Great Opportunity!

Post by Mr Pageantry » Tue Dec 23, 2003 10:32 am

The DREAM :cool2: offers all musicians and marching people a terrific opportunity to continue in the activity and still have a 'real life' .... Anyone who saw the Senior corps in action last year, know that it opens a whole new world to those who love 'show biz' :jester: I will always remember the DREAM's first performance at Cerritos college and seeing so many of 'my kids' with their own kids in attendance :lurk: .... No other activity will allow you the chance at new friendships, with those who have marched before  .. people you can talk to about the 1980 nationals or DCI... etc etc.... The sound of that mature hornline and the look of the drummers and colorguard was really thrilling.... In Portland Oregon, they have a marching band for age outs called "The One More Time Around Again Band' ... which now has well over 500 members.... May the DREAM grow and prosper in the new year.... Harvey@worldofpageantry.com soon to be Captain of the accordian section...... :wav:

Thanks Harvey, and you're right. It's a great chance to do drum corps for those who may have missed their chance during their 14-21 years, or those who just can't take full summers off to tour, we fill the void!

Also imagine marching right along side people who have performed in your favorite drum corps in the past... Old Blue Devils from 1984 to 1997, Vanguard, Velvet Knights from the 70's 80's and 90's, we even have a 1972 Kingsmen in our ranks, DCI's very first World Champion!

I invite everyone to come down and check it out, regardless of what you play. Our next camp is January 10 & 11 at Loara High School in Anaheim, CA. Check out our site for more info.

Also, we are planning on setting the percussion battery this next camp, so if you want it, you still have time! Get there and thrown down some beats.

We may also have a top bass spot open. Hurry before it's gone! :D
