Omg!

Post by bandbuff7 » Fri Jan 02, 2004 10:01 pm

I really enjoyed watching the Rose Parade this year. It brought back pleasant memories of myself marching in the parade. :D Good times good times...

Anyhow, there was one guy in one of the bands with his WRIST WATCH ON during the performance (KTLA telecast). The camera was up close on this guy, and he had his watch on WHILE in uniform! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Hahaha did any of you guys spot it???

Rose parade

I was in the PCC honor band, it was my 2nd year in it. I watched the re-runs on tv when I got home and yeah, diagonals were pretty bad among bands. I was really surprised that PCC looked good, along with the college bands. And on KTLA, they showed Jessica, one of Temple City's Drum Majors, up close. I thought that was cool since I know her hehe. I saw part of a Spanish channel's re-run [ch. 22] and they really focused on bands. That's where I first saw RCC and they sounded awesome. Too bad they only showed re-runs until 1 pm or so. By the way, I have to give it up to the Mexican band. I saw them at Bandfest after we performed and they were better than I expected. I loved how they have a tambourine section! Their colorguard knew their stuff, their drumline had great cadences. We at PCC loved them for being tight hehe.

Did Temple City have alumni in the band in the Rose Parade? Don't remember their being as large as it looked on New Years Day. Just wondering.

One thing I forgot to mention. Temple City your uniforms were great. What a nice clean look. It gets kinda of boring seeing all the red/black uni's...

I marched in the Idaho All-Star Band as a trombone this year. We were the black and white band before SCV. I have to say that I think the Vanguard did awesome from what I saw. Their warmup sounded awesome, and seeing them march at the end was stunning. Sheer perfection.

Did anyone even notice our band? What did you guys think of our performance?

No. The USC Band was at Universal Studios and rally events for the big game.
