puh on trumpets
AMEN...
I think we all need to listen to phantom on this one. though trumpets have their place in the band (usually on the ground straightening lopsided music stands), Low Brass (yeah, tuba pride) is what holds the whole band together. How many times have we heard a whole show go to pot because the tubas were dragging, and how many times have we we heard one get on fire because the low brass was tight with the beat. In conclusion every horn has it's place but for the most part that place is held up by five or six of those loveable hunks of pig iron we call the tubas.

An oldie but a goodie...
Q: How many trumpet players does it take to change a light bulb?
A: 101. 1 to change the light bulb and 100 to stand around and scoff, "Big deal, I could've done it better."
