SCSBOA Championships - Predictions

Post by bandfanatic » Sun Nov 16, 2003 8:42 pm

so its almost the end of the band season and the last thing to do is the SCSBOA championships. after hearing all the bands grow all season long, with the upsets and the total domination of tournaments, what are your predictions for this years championships. will the results be the same as Arcadia Festival or will bands go for more and how will Etiwanda fair?

I think all bands competing will be doing everything they can to win. But I think Arcadia gave some of us a feel of how some bands will place. Here are my predictions:

1. Etiwanda
2. Rancho Bernardo
3. El Dorado
4. Rancho Buena Vista
5. Arcadia
6. Chino
7. Diamond Bar
8. Vista

Auxiliary: Rancho Bernardo
Percussion: Etiwanda

and here are mine

1 - Rancho Bernardo
2 - Etiwanda
3 - El Dorado
4 - Arcadia
5 - Rancho Buena Vista
6 - Chino
7 - Diamond Bar
8 - Vista

this has got to be the hardest prediction just because the fact that these bands are so close together (past tournaments point wise). i think were going to be seeing a new SCSBOA champion this year in Rancho Bernardo, they always seem to pull it out in the end. the hard thing is that there is still a week of tough practices and anything can happen this saturday.

The shows are really close this year, and it is hard to tell. I won't be there, but it will be interesting to see who will come out where this year. Especially with the RB addition. Good luck to all.

8. Diamond Bar

I was WAY off on my Arcadia predicts hehe...but here's how I think it'll turn out. I think Arcadia, RBV, and Chino are all very close still (RBV and Chino in 89 range last night), but upsets still happen, which is why I chose the order. Next week will be interesting...

Correction: You were right, after I posted I checked out the SCSBOA site. Sorry for the confusion.

I looked at the grid on the SCSBOA website it said Walnut declined the invitation.

My predictions were more of who I wanted to win, rather than who I thought would have and who eventually did.
