CLASS 6A
94.10 Rancho Bernardo
91.60 Mt. Carmel
91.10 Chino
90.70 Rowland
88.90 Arcadia
87.60 Vista Murrieta
87.40 Poway
85.90 El Dorado
85.50 San Marcos (San Marcos)
83.10 Savanna
82.80 Los Osos
80.60 Etiwanda
I don't know how much I agree with that statement. Mt. Carmel and Chino both placed ahead of RB just a week earlier at Arcadia. I think more emphasis is placed on the rankings than the numbers.

Agreed. A good judging panel will rank bands and keep the numbers where they should be. However numbers will change a little from show to show based on order of performance. A really good band early in a show may get a decent number. Any later bands that follow and they perform better, must get a higher number. This could push the scores up a little from a show that does not have a "big number" band performing early.

So... a 88 at one show might be a better performance than a 90 at another show. As judges we are constantly told get the order correct.

The best comparison (obviously) is when bands are at the same show.

Bigger is not always better....
