2014 Riverside King Band Review now taking applications

Post by musser » Tue Sep 09, 2014 6:05 pm

Dear Director,

I am pleased to extend to you an invitation to the 10th Annual Riverside King Band Review. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2014. Last year’s event attracted 19 competing bands: 6 middle school bands and 13 high school bands.

The deadline for returning the application is Friday, September 12, 2014. If you are considering attending please contact me ASAP. Delays in the mail and in district office processing frequently happen. I can hold a space until the September 12 deadline.

This early season event provides an opportunity for your ensemble to refine its presentation in a competitive environment in preparation for the remainder of the season.

The event features the following:

• Beautiful, tree-lined neighborhood parade route on extra-wide street
• Full SCSBOA Band Review Judges Panel
• Band, Drill Team, Auxiliary, and Drum Major Awards
• High School and JHS/IS/MS Adjudication and Awards
• Hosted by the Riverside King HS Band & Color Guard
• Free spectator admission
• Entry Fee - $225 (additional $50 for Drill Team)
• Short parade route (1.1 miles)

Have a great summer, and I hope to see you on October 18.

Sincerely,

Charles Gray, Director
