Bands of America 2014 - California bands?

Post by Hostrauser » Fri Feb 21, 2014 12:58 pm

Any California bands planning on making the trip to Indianapolis for BOA Grand Nationals this fall?

How about the California regional? Is that on anyone's radar?

I have heard of one group planning to make the trip to the 'big dance' but I will leave it to them to announce. Ayala will certainly be at the regional...it would be great to see a lot of other bands there. I highly recommend it if you are considering it!

i never ask for any specific group but enjoys the shows of new and aspiring ones. I love the spark they have while they performs.

Looks like we'll be cheering for Upland H.S. at Grand Nationals this fall! :)

yes. The bands that are new carry the spark with themselves. They perform to express rather than express.

El Segundo will not be travelling to Grand Nationals this year after all.

It looks like OK is planning on making a run for it this fall with 3 of their top 4 Bands going to Grand Nationals, Broken Arrow, Owasso and Union. The also have 2weeks between their State Championships and the Grand Nationals.

With this Nov being a UIL Class 6A State Championship year, the power Bands of TX are mostly sitting out Grand Nationals this year. Wakeland is class 5A and Flower Mound is 6A(same district as Marcus) but have not been a big name in TX BOA marching. So they are unknown at this time.
