Is there a difference in scoring if Pit members moves around to use other Percussion instrument?

Shouldn't be. You get credit for what you are playing and how well you are playing it. There aren't bonus points for playing multiple instruments throughout the course of the show.

Marching band isn't a union gig, the percussion doesn't get double scale for versatility. ;-)

Actually, a percussion judge MIGHT look at you doing the multiple assignments, and hold you in higher esteem, which MAY result in a LITTLE bump in the score. Of course, it depends on how well you where handeling the parts. Adding difficulty to a poor performance just gets a score for a poor performance, no bump for diffuculty.

Greg Solomon gave my band a bump in GE score because he appreciated the "box 1" (back when that meant superior) contribution from the pit. 4 musicians playing multiple instruments simultaneously, and well. The rest of his criteria reference were box 3 and low 2, but there was a tiny dash of highlighter in box 1 next to the word "PIT!!", written in ball point, circled and underlined.

sigh... good times.

While there is no criteria for a score to be higher specifically because performers can play multiple instruments, it can be reflected in the score in several ways. If the additional timbres used/textures created have a positive effect on the music, then it should result in a higher Repertoire score. If the degree of skill required is significant in the playing of multiple instruments, it should be reflected in the Performance score.
