Re: Lineup - 2011 Placentia Band Review - Saturday, October 15th

I'm eyeballing the Class B drum majors. That's gonna be a tough DM division, considering Placentia normally does DM's by class regardless of equipment style.

Two high schools have cancelled. The lineup has been revised to reflect these changes.

Yeah, I agree and the new uniforms are very nice. Also, did anyone else notice something different about the Drum Major, which I also liked?

He's wearing a "Q-Tip." We found a clean one in a closet the other day."

I didn't know it was called that. It looks good. I think the last year/season a Montebello drum major wore a "Q-Tip" was back in 1999. I was just looking at a couple of old videos I had from 97, 98, 99 and the DM wore it then.

Q-Tip is slang. I believe "Busby" is the true term.

Yes, Busby is the accurate term. My students call it a "Q-Tip."

I think they're lowering my I.Q. little by little...
