2011 Predictions

Post by Redflag64 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 12:14 am

What high school bands do you think will be fighting for the first place crown this year for each division? any predictions? Any known rivalries for the 2011 season? Any dark horses this year?

1A- San Marcos (SB)
2A- Saugus
3A- Carlsbad
4A- Hart (will the reign ever end?)
5A- Mira Mesa
6A- Chino

Watch out for Royal HS in 1A, Azusa in 2A. Look for the highest scores ever out of the lower divisions this year. They raise the bar every year.

After a strong showing from Rowland last weekend, they're definitely now on my radar!

I think you're mixing up two different San Marcoses. 1A San Marcos is from Santa Barbara. 6A San Marcos is from North San Diego (San Marcos).

And yes 'dead' is a bit harsh.

I thought seeing them in 6A was a bit... aggressive. I mean, I know they won 3 championships in 4 years and that 6A is 150+ or director's choice, but sheesh...

Yeah... I can't imagine San Marcos(SB) anything but a 1A (or 2A) powerhouse, and very much alive. And I can imagine them holding their own in an open class.

Yep. They're leaving the field to pioneer a new kind of stage show called "Brass Theatre." Oh wait...
