First congratulations to GOLDEN VALLEY HS!! Mr. Christiansen continues to be one of the best band directors in California!! Very impressed with the scores from Homestead (especially know that their band director was in NEW YORK getting ready for the Macy's Day Parade!!!!) and Foothill.... VERY STRONG. Also, considering that those bands are doing parade & field show!!

Thanks for the scores!!

Best I found is what's already posted for parade, but the link below also includes the field show results.

Check out Homestead's score. A 96.0, in early October? That's very impressive!! There are also some high 90s scores for a couple other subcategories.

Here's a video of Fremont's parade. I wasn't really paying attention to the camera so it's not amazing quality, haha.

You're obviously doing a good job. 88.5? I don't think Fremont's parade guard has ever scored that high.

Thanks!
We spend the majority of the time on field show, so we threw it together over a rehearsal before band camp, and then touched it 4 or 5 times since school started. So, considering the amount of time we've put into it(or lack thereof), I was pretty surprised, haha. But the kids work really hard=]

I've attached the recaps, which are posted on the NCBA site.

Wow ... incredible. I scratch my head as I always do with NCBA. Do not get me wrong by any stretch, Homestead is great and probably top 5 easily in WBA [they were 3rd behind Logan and Mission last year], BUT ... are they really 4 points from perfection overall in the FIRST show of the season???
I get the whole idea of numbers at a show ... they are actually all just relative to the other scores and performances of that day, but a 96? Luckily, the staff and kids at Homestead know better than to say, "Well we are at a 96 ... guess this is gonna be a piece of cake this year."
I will say at least NCBA is consistent ... percussion had a 96.6, brass a 97, and woodwinds a 95 [come on woodwinds ... pick it up!! Insert sarcasm!].
