Found one inaccuracy.

1971 - Cupertino High School is actually in Cupertino.

Yeah, it's a good list but there are some holes/errors. The Selma HS listed on the first page I'm pretty sure is Selma HS, CA... not Smithfield-Selma HS, NC.

I have skimmed the list...meaning I did not 'tabulate' the numbers. I am pretty surprised (ignorance) by the number of DIFFERENT Northern California bands. I thought there would be more. So, the idea of one from the North and one from the South is...a 'standard' and not a rule??!! THANKS FOR THE LIST!!!!

Jeebus there REALLY used to be A LOT more California bands!
Does somebody want to take a stab at updating this?

Interesting...obviously the most frequent CA HS band is Arcadia. Seems like the most frequent out of state band is Ben Davis HS, Indianapolis.
