Kaiser/Fontana Invitational Band Review 9-17-2011
I am pleased to announce the return of the
Kaiser/Fontana Invitational Band Review
Saturday, September 17, 2011
9:00 am
This very early-season event is the perfect place to debut a parade band in a real band review with a full adjudication panel. Bands will perform at 5-minute intervals to maximize judges’ comments in preparation for the later even more competitive band review competitions.
The event venue is the parking lot of the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. SCSBOA adjudicators will be used to evaluate and determine awards for high school and middle school bands, drill teams, auxiliary, and drum majors in parade competition. The awards ceremony will take place at Kaiser High School following the completion of the event.
The event, hosted by the Kaiser High School Catamount Pride Band and Color Guard, will feature up to 40 high school and middle school bands. The entry fee is $200 per band (plus additional $50 for drill team). The application deadline is August 27, 2011.
Proceeds from the event go to the Kaiser High School Band Boosters. Director of Bands at Kaiser High School is Mr. Anthony J. Allmond. Chairman for the event is Dennis P. Rodda.
There is virtually limitless free parking adjacent to the competition area for spectator use at the Auto Club Speedway. Spectators are also invited to attend the awards ceremonies following the event at Kaiser High School.

Both King and Diamond Bar are looking like they are going to have another great season. Music was rough around the edges for both but I think they are much better then at this time last season.

Since I am in Texas I am checking to see if anybody has posted videos from today's Band Review?

Don't count out Mayfair or Kaiser! Both performed very well today. Mayfair's color guard was breathtaking!cobybos wrote:Both King and Diamond Bar are looking like they are going to have another great season. I enjoyed hearing three marches for the first time -
Kaiser - Wisconsin Forward Forever (Sousa)
Moore MS - Festival Parade (Mesang)
Riverside King - The Irish Brigade (Hausey) (World premiere)!
Luis videotaped all the performances and I'm sure they'll be posted on YouTube (Music213) shortly, if they aren't there already.

Re: Kaiser/Fontana Invitational Band Review 9-17-2011
Good job today Dennis, Anthony Allmond and the Kaiser HS Band/Color Guard & Boosters! You all did a wonderful job, took great care of the judges (mom's in the judge's room were awesome!) and best of all, provided a quality event! Thank you for keeping parade band alive! Oh, and a special thanks to whomever for the great weather - not too hot and not too cold, perfect marching band weather! It was nice to see everyone's programs get off to what looks to be a great marching season!
