The Chino competeition was very exciting. All of the bands did well. North Park Middle School was *amazing* on the street for a middle school! I wouldlove to be at the high school they'll be going to. I was also impressed by the field performances of Diamond Bar and West High Schools.

Ok. Well I didn't see very many of the shows because I was working the event and stuff. I thought that what I did see, was very impressive. Congrats to Arcadia for winning. I didnt really see you guys perform. I heard someone fell in some other band, I hope that person is ok. It was really tiring working the event but at least it wasnt as dirty this time. thanx for picking up after urselves guys! it was most appreciated. Well I hope we actually get to compete next time we see you guys! It'll be a tough competition.

PS ALLOF THE BANDS DID GREAT! CONGRATS DONLUGO

Well then.

Interesting competition. I don't know if it was my "Northern ideals" or something else, but the judges and I differed on quite a few scores, especially on the PM Field Show. Just like in the NCBA, I felt the point spread (particularly on parade) was too small. It was nice meeting Harvey, dr, trumpetman, and vore at the competition.

Well, I've got an 8-hour drive ahead of me tonight, but on Monday night I'll start working on my Chino review. It's likely to... ruffle a few feathers. Hey, would it be me if it wasn't controversial? The review should be online by Tuesday morning at the latest.

chino tourney rocked !!!

Post by ArcAdiA BAritone God » Sun Nov 02, 2003 9:03 pm

i would like to thank Chino High School for putting on another successful tournament. :D it was lots of fun to be able to compete there again. it brings back so many memories... its really to bad that Mt Carmel wasn't there, it would have made the day a lot more interesting.

shout out to Mt Carmel High School: we hope the fire gets fully contained very soon, and we hope to see EVERYONE at later competitions in the season.

Best of luck to all...

Suggestion

Post by altohack » Sun Nov 02, 2003 10:22 pm

Just one suggestion for next time, can you strengthen the speaker... maybe its just me, but its sort of hard to hear everything when its not absolutely silent (it rarely is in a stadium of so many people)?

No worries tho, we'll link up again in 2 weeks. Man, time really does fly doesn't it? Congrats to all the competitors at chino, I'm sure it was a rockin show.

Wow, chino was fun! I was really proud of my group, how we pulled together stuff and everyone else who had awesome shows!

Congrats to arcadia for sweeps in both music and parade on street!!!!!

Congrats to Valencia’s guard with sweeps on field!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to diamond bar with the high music sweeps!!!!!!!!!!!

And CONGRATULATIONS TO ARCADIA FOR GOING HOME WITH THE GRAND SWEEPSTAKES AWARD!!!!!!!!

And to my fellow bando's and guardies, kept it up guys!

I really wish I could have seen the other shows, but I did get to see most of them at Mt. Carmel. Unfortunately it’s been over a week so they have all blended together. But from what I remember they are great shows.

Arcadia- I love the part in your show where the entire band marches forward onto the track, you guys make it look way cool!!!!!
Plus it gives the guard a chance to take over the field and as a guardie that of course is awesome!!!!

R.B. and Mt. Carmel- I can't remember specific things but you guys had awesome shows too!!!! I really wish I could say more, but it was a week ago, sorry!

Chino- I finally got to see your show at...chino! lol. props to your weapon line!!!!!! I don't think I saw any drops and there were a ton of you out there (at least compared to our 7). I was quite amused when you started to play Jupiter; we used that in winterguard last year! lol.

Well good job everybody. Can you believe arcadia is only 2 weeks away??? Gosh we start band camp with endless marching season ahead of us and then suddenly it’s almost over. Wow.

So I will see you all on November 15!!!
