The Boston Crusaders have a concept in place, but I personally don't think "Revolution" is going to be the title as some others think.

Molly on the Shore is not from Lincolnshire Posy. Same composer, different pieces.

Re: DCI/DCA 2011 Repertoires
Since you don't have any DCA corps listed yet, I thought I would post ours.....
SoCal Dream proudly announces their 2011 show entitled, "Dream Riffs: Something Borrowed, Something Blues”. Our production opens with “Baroque Samba" by Darmon Meader which begins with a traditional Baroque approach, then surprisingly changes into a high energy Samba. Our Feature: “Autumn Leaves” by Joseph Kosma offers the performer limitless creative opportunities which have inspired generations of jazz players. Our ballad: "In Her Family” by Pat Metheny a haunting, pensive and beautiful ballad with lush harmonies that give this piece a very special texture and feel. And closing out our show is "Nutville" by Horace Silver. This piece is guaranteed to deliver a healthy dose of high paced mambo/jazz which has become a Drum Corps standard.

Re: DCI/DCA 2011 Repertoires
The grapevine yields its secrets to me...
THE ACADEMY - "(re)"
Little Fugue in G minor
Lux Aurumque
Lollapalooza
BLUECOATS - "It's a Brave New World"
Based on the novel "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. Somewhat of a sequel to last year's show. Music unconfirmed, but supposedly the ballad is "Creep" by Radiohead.
BLUE KNIGHTS
Irish/Scottish-themed show complete with a "regimental" drum portion to the show (i.e., not your standard field marching snares). Holst's First Suite is supposedly part of the show.
CAROLINA CROWN - "Rach Starr"
A mash-up of rock songs and selections from Rachmaninoff Piano Concertos No. 2 and 3. Rumor: Crown's synth player is Nick Starr (well, that much is fact), so the title is also an allusion to the supposedly impressive piano cadenzas that will be in the show.
MADISON SCOUTS - "New York Morning"
New York, New York from "On the Town"
Oh, What a Beautiful Morning from "Oklahoma"
(closer TBA)
PHANTOM REGIMENT - "Juliet"
Rumor: Phantom's going back to all black uniforms for this show based on the greatest tragic story of all time.
THE CADETS - "Angels and Demons"
Angels in the Architecture
Music from the film "Angels and Demons"
Rumor: The Cadets are supposedly also looking at a uniform twist, much like 2005, 2006. Half the corps will supposedly be in "photo negative" uniforms, with maroon pants and white tops, or with black somehow worked into the uniform (to represent the "demons" side of the show, of course).

Re: DCI/DCA 2011 Repertoires
I just checked out the score to the Ligeti piece. Definitely an interesting piece to bring to the field, since it has no time signature!Hostrauser wrote:The inspiration for SCV 2011... "The Devil's Staircase"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZTaiDHqs5s
(The score's notes: 12/8 is provided as guideline, the actual metre consists of 36 quavers divided asymmetrically. Tempo is given as dotted whole note = 30)
