Saber Recommendations

Post by savvybassoon » Thu May 06, 2010 9:37 am

I'm looking to add sabers to my guardline in the fall. I'm wondering which ones are better for a guard starting with sabers.

What length?

Should I get the basic white sabers or invest in the stainless steel ones?

If the white ones, padded vs. unpadded?

I can get a pretty good price on StylePlus Xabres. They're sale priced for only $10 more than the Elite Performance padded, are StylePlus quality sabers?

Ultimate sabers can still be found and they are my favorite. They have a chrome blade, or padded, with a hard rubber handel and are the best training sabre on the market. Infact, James Logan still uses them I think.
