How much coffee do you drink?

Post by dmcoach » Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:32 am

I'm just sitting here during my graveyard shift realizing that no matter how many days I go between coffee drinks, I just relapse and come back to the habit of having it everyday. And by coffee, I mean lattes. Those gosh darned, expensive, caffeine rich, and irresistably yummy lattes.

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this habit.

I have 1 cup of coffee each morning before work. If I know it's going to be a long day sitting at my desk I might have a second on the way to work.

I wasn't too consistent, but I started working at Starbucks last month and now I have a serious problem. With the unlimited free drinks on the days I work, I usually have 2-3 big drinks, though I usually make the last one decaf so my heart doesn't explode lol.
On top of that, we get a free lb. of coffee a week so I'm pretty much caffeinated 24/7...I'm considering an intervention soon if this keeps up, but it's just so gooddd....

I have my "light" days where I pass on the espresso drinks and just have a nice Chai Tea Latte. Especially now that a buddy of mine recommended adding some pumps of peppermint to it.

Grande Iced Soy Chai Tea Latte w/ two pumps of peppermint = something that tastes a lot like Christmas

1 15 oz. cuppa before 10 am then another about noonish. Both with milk or cream (NOT non-dairy powder) and 6 or so TABLESPOONS of sugar. LOL. Nothing after that on the caffeine front ... keeps me awake at night if I drink it after 1 pm.

Starbucks .. I have a weakness for an Iced Grande Carmel Macchiato. Gift card accepted. ty.

I only ever drink coffee if I stayed up obscenely late the night before and it's a school day.

I love the smell of ground coffee, not so much brewed. I don't drink it.

I drink a minimum of a pot of coffee every day. French roast, black, pot in my office.

Don't know how I'd get by without it.

Agreed. Love the smell of grounds, can't stand the taste of the stuff.

My wife has a decent Starbucks habit, though.

So, been off of the Starbucks for two days now. I went to *gasps* instant coffee :duck: It's not bad, but I miss those espresso drinks already.

On a quick little side note, I did something funny today. After the lesson I held today, I went to Starbucks and sat down inside with my laptop and my travel mug of home made coffee. Talk about blasphemy! Ha ha, but I did save $4 from not buying a cup. 8-)

No coffee...TEA in the morning and at night, english style with sugar and milk...usually soy milk.

And the rest of the day PEPSI..nectar of the Gods.

But like Hostrauser, my wife has a serious Mocha habit.
