Zach was a wonderful young man. Bright, out-going, talented, funny, gentle, kind.

A representative of all that is good about Pacific Crest, drum and bugle corps, marching band and music education.

He will be missed. Our deepest sympathies to his family and the Pacific Crest family.

I sincerely apologize for the lack of feeling in my original post, but my deepest condolences go to Zach's family & the PC organization.

Thank you for the heads up, Wildabeast. I was glad to be able to read the official story from the PC website. What a terrible tragedy. My condolences to the people and friends of the organization.

Having Zach as a drum major for my first year of drum corps, 2008, was a great pleasure. He had great honor and pride in what he did. He is one of the people who made me emotionally attach myself to music. The style of his conducting was so emotional it made me as a player be forced to get involved with what I was playing. My heart goes out to all his friends and family. PC 2008 I will never forget you guys. Thank you for all the great memories.

Zach was a great DM and an even better person. We all miss him, and hope that all of the good times will be remembered.
