Sacramento Mandarins Tuba Spot

Post by mandarins1 » Wed May 27, 2009 10:49 am

The Sacramento Mandarins have a tuba spot open. The corps presently has the first two numbers of this year’s show, Festive Overture and Libertango, on the field and would like to fill this last remaining brass spot as soon as possible. Next camp will be June 5 – 7 at Oakmont High School in Roseville CA.

You can read about the Mandarins' tuba section's music and visual instructors here: http://mandarins.org/about/jay_balk.html and here: http://mandarins.org/about/bryan_stroh.html

Interested persons should contact brass caption head Chris McCoy at mandarinsb@yahoo.com - further information may also be obtained on the audition page of the corps’ web site at http://mandarins.org/auditions/detail.html

The Mandarins will appear in a full slate of west coast shows prior to leaving on a 5 week Drum Corps International (DCI) tour, concluding at the DCI Championships to be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.

The Sacramento Mandarins still have a tuba spot (and one color guard spot) open. The corps will be in training camp at Antelope High School in Antelope CA from Friday evening June 12 until Friday evening June 19, when the corps will depart to Southern California for the first two shows of the season: Saturday, June 20 in Walnut and Sunday June 21 in Riverside.

Interested persons should contact the brass caption head at mandarinsb@yahoo.com - further information may also be obtained on the audition page of the corps’ web site at http://mandarins.org/auditions/detail.html

You can keep up with the Mandarins not only on the webpage at mandarins.org but also on the corps summer blog at http://sacramentomandarins.blogspot.com/ and on Twitter: http://twitter.com/dcimandarins

We are still looking for a tuba player. You can see us at tonight's show at Mt. Sac in Walnut and at Riverside Community College tomorrow (Sunday) night. Let one of the Mandarins staff members know if drop by and you are interested in marching with us.
