Actually it snows here in Moreno Valley once or twice a year, especially around our house since we're up on the hills to the north of town at just under 2000 ft. Sometimes I stand in the middle of the living room and look out front where it is raining, then out back where it is snowing. How weird/cool is that?

The snow doesn't work in FF 3.0.3 (yes, I know there's an update, just haven't gotten to it).

And... it's supposed to snow here in Fresno on Wednesday.

The snow doesn't work in FF 3.0.4 either.

That's fine with me. I do not miss it.

Found the bug. Anyone who wants to see the snow, copy this line into your address bar and hit enter:

javascript:void(snowMove=function(id,left,top){left=left+"px";top=top+"px";var obj=document.getElementById ?document.getElementById(id).style:document.all ?document.all[id].style:document.layers?document.layers[id] :null;if(obj){obj.left=left;obj.top=top;}});

[EDIT] FYI: You'll have to scroll to the page top to see the snow. Also, you have to do it on each page you want snow.

If you're interested in fixing it Dave, the snowMove function is trying to set top and left style values with straight numbers (no px after them). FF and Safari don't like that. You can fix it by changing the function to this:

function snowMove(id,left,top){
left=left+"px";
top=top+"px";
obj=document.getElementById?document.getElementById(id).style:
document.all?document.all[id].style:
document.layers?document.layers[id]:null;

if(obj) {
obj.left=left;
obj.top=top;
}
}

It doesn't work perfectly. You can still see the snow. It's just that it's all one giant cluster of white in the top white corner. I was wondering about that until I read this.

Thanks for the tip. I have been too busy the last several days and hadn't checked it in Safari or Firefox. I inserted your 2 line addition to the variables and it seems to work now in Safari and Firefox. In fact it now works better in those than it does in IE on my Vista Ultimate 64bit system. :shock:
