That tuba player is such a douche! Why would you trip a little kid who is just having fun?
All I can say to that is maybe, at age 19, you haven't experienced enough disrespect for our band thing to be bitter enough to find tripping a kid funny.

From a "different" perspective ... where the heck was this kid's mom or dad? If my kid were running through the ranks of a band like that the little chit would be grounded forever and a day (minus youtube, ipod, cell phone, tv, video games). It's a shame it takes a band member to put a spoiled kid to shame.
Done ... soap box open.

Definitely Europe...
- 1. March tempo is more their style.
2. Are those actual baritones? The tiny kind? Alto horns, even? Too many of them for an American bands, I think.
3. Audience appears to be sitting and listening. Hardly anyone is moving.
4. Parent of spoiled tripped child does not immediately appear to demand "justice," despite having just witnessed it.

I agree, and I think I see upright baritones; the poor video quality and angle it's shot from just make it hard to tell. The sousaphone thing is the only surprise, to me: they aren't too popular in Europe.

Yes! We can trip little kids! Seriously, I can see how this is funny, but how is it in any way okay? Do you guys think youre band director would be HAPPY if you did that? Not to mention common decency should stop you from hurting a child in any situation.
Expecting the responses of "the kid needed to be taught a lesson": It is the parent's job to discipline the kid, not some teenage band member. Who really cares if a kid breaks your ranks? So what? Do the right thing.
