Let's Get Ready to BUBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!!!

Post by Chapagne » Tue Apr 29, 2008 9:26 am

I am watching my students take the Glorious California Standardized Test.

This is what we have been reduced to.

Kids, if you think taking the test is bad...try watching you take it.

Standardized testing makes everyone... standard.

Non sequitur: You have a Rush lyric as your signature. That is awesome.

I get to babysit the students that don't test (they aren't at algebra I level, don't have science or don't have social studies) and get to make the lesson plans for them for three hour testing blocks. I don't know how many students I'll have each day. I hope I don't get a student for more than one testing block because they are probably going to do the same activity again.

Haha those tests were pretty boring... and mindless...

Senior year was so nice... no testing at all = Sleep in every day!

Yea...tomorrow testing starts for me. It has already started since Monday but I don't test in Spanish...but I did have like 3 tests already in the past 2 days. History CST tomorrow ugh, and I realized I have English, Math, and Science CST one right after the other (day wise).

Should be a pretty fun day haha. Can't wait to hear the teachers in monotone going over the directions and what to do. At least I get a break over the weekend (along w/ 4 hrs of band on Fri.) Fun stuff right?

Our school used the first week of CSTs to go over senior stuff, e.g., graduation tickets, grad night, etc.

This week, we have actual class, which makes me wish I was taking the test.
The o_O emoticon gives me the heebee jeebees.

Yes, he's Harry's brother, for ya old folks.

O God I hate these tests. I'm spending valuable class-time taking some easy-#$(*#%#% assessment when I have 4 ap tests in the next few weeks. Who the heck thought up that?

Seriously huh? I have one on May 9th. I just took history/life science today. Weird how life science was in history....? Yea but it was sooo easy. Some were really awkward but pretty easy overall.

My teacher made the sample question hilarious! Probably the best teacher to take the CST with. Alright so who lead the Bolshevik Revolution? Oh yea it was Tsang...or w/e (some asian associated with China...communism?). It was def. Marx lol. Oh gosh it was pretty funny though.

Then same thing with the life science. Herbivores would survive best where? Desert, Tundra, Grassland, Chaparral. ^_^ Of course you find a lot of grass in the desert. Haha it was a good morning.

Oh, geez. What kind of standards are they hoping to set?
