I predict that Benecia will step all over everyone on the street and in Concert. Especially the downhill Scarlet Brigade.

Hard to predict without knowing who's competing where. The NCBA does a poor job about announcing their competitions and getting publicity. I've heard Leigh won't be doing street this year, so it looks like it'll be all Benicia, Lincoln, and Golden Valley this year on parade.

Also do not forget madera high will also be doing street. They will be play a march called Revelation. And Leigh will have less of chance for sweepstakes and give other good bands of chance and to make sure we are not robbed like last year . well I can't wait to see the competition for street this year
Go Madera High

Robbed? Is some one bitter? Since when does doing well become a bad thing?

seriously!!! you've always had a chance to beat us...it's not like we're just given the award...we have to do just as much work as you do, so don't be mad and bitter just because we beat you...it's not about who wins or loses to most bands. it should be the same with you too.

sorry to go off like that, but it annoys me when other bands don't think they have a chance at beating Leigh, because that's just ridiculous.
You can always do it...so just shut up and do it.

Yeah i do not speak for the whole band i should have not said robbed by Leigh high. You do work as hard as we do or even harder. We all sow what we reep(sorry for misspellings). Leigh does earn all thier awards. Yet i wrote robbed because as i heard Leigh will not march this year except at Pacific Grove were you guys compete against madera during this entire season so i wii enranged that we would be robbed. Yet we will not the band will pull together and beat Leigh and we do have an equal chance of beating you guys as you said.

:D yay MADERA..
no raiden doesn't speck for madera. for I am a Madera High student.
I say that madera high has a good enough chance to bet any high school bands, as much as their band could beat us. i hope to see alot of good shows, drill and music. see ya in the long run!

Madera child!

NCBA Predicitions

I heard Homestead is doing rhapsody in blue and they're doing it with some sort of a twist or something. Anyone hear what's going on with them?

Doesn't "Grand Sweepstakes" total the scores from both street, and field? That would intern...mean that Leigh, and any other band perfoming in "Field Only" would have zero chance of winning the ever illustrious "Grand Sweepstakes" trophy. Just an observation. :-)

grand

Post by guardie4life04 » Mon Oct 06, 2003 7:03 am

yes not doing parade means that leigh won't have a chance to win Grand but i think that it is important for everyone to relize that no matter what you go home with after the comp that its the feeling that your band worked hard and you went out there and performed your hearts out it dosen't matter about the awards its all about the feeling you get when you walk off the feild :D

Excellent Point

Post by trumpeter84 » Mon Oct 06, 2003 7:43 am

And this is the point which I was subtly trying to get across to the individual posting from Madera HS earlier...Everyone is taught what to really appreciate about marching out there on the field, but those who actually follow through...and DO what they are taught on a daily basis, even past marching band, are those who really "get it."
