Your season so far...

Post by DmTy » Mon Nov 12, 2007 10:19 am

Hey everyone!
I haven't posted in a long while but I thought I'd take the time today to just throw in my .02. First I would like to commend all the student leaders throughout CA's marching scene so far. What you all do is inspiring and you all should be proud of your hard work and determination. However, continue to express your determination and drive. The end of the season *or near end* can be the time in which things begin to slack off. Stay on top of your game and you will see the rewards of you labor.

To all the seniors- end without regrets. There are many things I regret throughout my marching and drum major career. I can't tell you how many times this year I've thought about past marching competitions or drum major conducting competitions with regrets or hesitations. Try to always give 100% on the field and leave anything else you have in your lives off it.

Also, since college apps are around the corner for most of you, if you feel you are in ANY WAY interested in marching post HS be sure to check and see if your college has a marching band. Sadly, mine does not :( . In a way I regret choosing a college that does not offer this program because I truly do miss marching and being in the competitive environment.

In any sense, I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your seasons and marching careers.
