No school for all Poway Unified Schools. I have no idea about the other districts. I'm REALLLY worried about Mt. Carmel Tournament of Bands now. This is becoming VERY related to marching band; would it be practical to move this to the Marching Band section?

I wouldn't be surprised now if it was cancelled.. the same thing happened in 2003 but with the Mira Mesa tourney. I'm really worried!!

The evac center was changed from poway high school to mira mesa...
This is getting out of hand. The wind is not dying down... not good. :(

The ash and wind is the biggest problem, especially for the people with asthma and other lung problems.

Fires are very serious. Rancho Bernardo is being evacuated. Poway soon too. My last post here in a while, I'm packing. Good luck to everyone else. You're all in my prayers.

No, because this thread is still about the fires. Should there be event cancellations, new threads can be started in the Marching Band forum.

Fires burning in or approaching Escondido, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Rancho Penasquitos, and Rancho Santa Fe. Bad, bad news.

I remember the fires in 2003. I hope you and all of your families are okay. I'm going to have a hard time concentrating in my classes today. :(
