We're required to cheer with the cheerleaders, otherwise we lose points for not participating... Which sucks, because it just gets boring and we lose enthusiasm.

We also do a little dance... to this one pep tune... But I don't remember what it is...

OOH! And then there's "Rowdy"...

"ROWDIES IN THE FRONT, LET ME HEAR YOU GRUNT! UH! *pelvic thrust*... ROWDIES IN THE MIDDLE, GIVE ME JUST A LITTLE! UH! *pelvic thrust*... ROWDIES IN THE BACK, SHOW ME WHERE IT'S AT! UH! *pelvic thrust* UH! *pelvic thrust* UH! *pelvic thrust* UH UH UH! *three pelvic thrusts"

yeah. It's good times.

If I had to cheer along with the cheerleaders, I'd shoot myself.
The band at my old school and the cheerleaders have a fine line between each other...except the cheerleaders don't know that.

Football games are fun. We can do all kinds of fun stuff. Including dancing while playing and annoying section leaders.

Cheer and band didn't mix well at football games but we got more intimate with integration of stuff during basketball season. Cheer and band at UCI have no communication at all. Cheerleaders have no sense of rhythm or pulse during our supposed joint 8 clap cheer. One time the cheerleaders were seated next to us and I hit my snare sticks together to keep a beat for the cheerleaders. That was the only time were together pulse wise.

The cheerleaders at my old school were okay with the beat. I mean, whenever they performed they had loud, pulsing music, but they were pretty good at it.

At our school the guard always dances while the band plays their pep tunes, but other than that we just sit and chat, because we aren't allowed to do much.
