Post by Rick_James » Fri Aug 31, 2007 12:32 pm

Jason Paguio, co-director of the International Drum Major Institute, becomes the first American to win the Adult Division Drum Major World Championships on August 11th in Glasgow, Scotland.

From drummajor.net :
Jason Paguio, Drum Major for the Kevin R. Blandford Memorial Pipe Band won the Adult Drum Major World Championships today in Glasgow Scotland. This may be the first time an American or a non-UK Drum Major has won the title.

I just saw him perform today at the Scottish Games in Pleasanton and he was quite amazing, along with WOP's own ZJH, who did fantastic himself!

Haha, thanks Ben. And Jason is always just an absolute pleasure and honour to watch perform. Congratulations to him for winning the two-day aggregate championship, and also congratulations to KMM77 (Kevin MacHeffner) for winning today's competition in the adult division, who occasionally trolls around the forums. =]
