You gottas check out the Lindsay family website and see what they can do together!

http://www.lindsay-jazz.com/

Mom, dad, two brothers and little sis... 10 year Tyler plays a mean trumpet, has played with John Faddis????!! 8 year Ryan plays trombone and bass guitar and little 7 year old Christina plays tuba??!

How many ten year old trumpet players get Wynton Marsalis to accompany them?

:drop:

The little girl started playing tuba when she was FOUR, and by seven was good enough to sit in with the UNC-Greensboro Concert Band.

:?

I suddenly have severe doubts about my musical ability.

This reminded me that back when I was in college, Jeff Reynolds (Bass TB-LA Phil) was the music director at the Moravian Church of Downey and they would present a "Trombone Christmas". The whole bunch would play some selections and individual ensembles would play. One of the ensembles was the Reynolds family (Jeff, wife & kids) playing a quartet (SATB of course).

At the same event the LA Phil low brass section played with Roger Bobo on Contrabass Trombone.

Ah, memories...
