Man, I'm good. 3 for 3.Phantom Phan wrote:Division I will be between Blue Devils and Cavaliers. I'm going with the Blue Devils to take home the title.
Division II will be madness: Esperanza, Spartans, and Patriots all have a legitimate shot . I'm sticking with Esperanza as my pick, though.
Division III is pretty much locked up. The Blue Stars will take the Division III crown. As much as I'd like to see Yamato pull off a California trifecta (with Esperanza and BD, all three champions would be from CA -- that would be a kick), I think they'll be a distant second.

Maybe it's time to hit up an Indian Casino.Phantom Phan wrote:Man, I'm good. 3 for 3.Phantom Phan wrote:Division I will be between Blue Devils and Cavaliers. I'm going with the Blue Devils to take home the title.

Yeah, they're expensive. I went the budget route and ordered the videos only while I was in Orlando (should've picked up the CD's too, just for Phantom's show). At least with the videos, you get more than the top 12, and I'm content with that. I'll get to see the final products put out by Pacific Crest and Mandarins (I only went to Finals).Trumpet Man 05 wrote:Yeah, they're taking pre-orders. Sweet...I'm gonna get the DVD/CD package, but man that's expensive.

I'll kinda' give a really short review.
Rain, rain, go away....and don't come back! That way, shows won't start an hour later.
In a nutshell, all the corps came to play and it was not disappointing at all. I thought Spirit would jump over Magic, but to each their own. I thought the 5th place finish for SCV was just. Part of it was of their own doing (phasing at the beginning), but there really was no denying that Phantom was the crowd favorite that night. Cavies' show seemed flat to me. Cadets turned out to be better than I imagined, and yes, their percussion was really on fire that night. Blue Devils were totally on fire.
The fiasco at retreat should not have happened. Two corps were kinda' left out, but were finally "squeezed" in. They probably weren't thinking since Esperanza and Blue Stars took part.
