At least your up there trying instead of being down there laughing at someone else. Trying is always better! Keep at it, you'll get better!sabrebatgirl wrote:I think ddr is really fun but i'm horrible at it! my friend across the street has it on playstation so i go over there sometimes to play. I'm so bad at it though, I'm probably very funny to watch.

For most people, that would be true, but no matter how many times I try to play it, I just can not get the hang of it. I find this wierd, because on the dance floor, I have no rhythm, but out on the field while in performance, or ebven at a concert, I am usually the one that corrects the others rhythms...formermarcher wrote:At least your up there trying instead of being down there laughing at someone else. I haven't tried this my self, but it looks like there's a computer game, Stepmania which is like DDR. I thought you DDR people might find that interesting (or maybe you already know about it).

I'm too afraid to ever play DDR again. You get on the machine, thinking no one's there, and then all these people just crowd around the machine! I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of a huge crowd, so I just decide to stay away from the DDR machines.

Yeah, thats what I did. I got it on playstation, and I first I just familiarized myself with all the songs...you know, play them on the controller before moving to the pad. And you can't play on those crappy plastic ones cause if you go barefoot it sticks to you, with socks you slip around, and shoes ruins the mat.
After you learn it on playstation, then take it to the machine. Basic stuff...you'll be surpised how much you remember from using your hands. Then its a matter of practice...
Personally, I used to be able to do those 8-9 feet songs but now...well summer hit and I lost alot of stamina...I can hardly do anything anymore........
