I really liked the Crossmen more than the Scouts, Crusaders, and Bluecoats. They had a really entertaining show, not to mention being able to see Bones! Now that was cool.
Cavaliers. ummm... I forgot to bring my pillow and take a nap. Sorry, but they just bored me to death. I enjoyed other shows a lot more. It still seems to me that this show sounds just like the others. I had seats 9th row from the bottom and that was just the wrong place to watch their show I assume. You have to buy the cheap nosebleeds seats to enjoy their show in my opinion. I just wanted to watch their drill. I clap and applaud when I am really entertained, and I really couldn't find myself to do so at all in their performance. I nodded off and had to wake myself up quite a bit. They also didn't get as many standing ovations as other corps did
But in all actuality, scores and numbers aren't much. It is nice to know, but if you can find the time and a little bit of money, you really have to get yourself out to a major competition or world championships to really enjoy these shows as they are meant to be. VHS and DVD aren't the same. It is nothing like sitting with less than an inch of space on both sides of you in the stands, body heat making the temperature unbearable. And yet, being able to watch awesome performances by the Blue Devils and Cadets (my top favorites from Allentown)
